Embedding mindmaps in articles: a markmap demo
This blog supports interactive mindmaps embedded straight into articles. The syntax could not be simpler: a markmap code block containing an ordinary indented markdown list renders as a mind map you can collapse, drag and zoom.
Example: a network troubleshooting mental model
Why this format
When mindmaps migrate over from Miro, the node tree becomes exactly this kind of indented list — plain text, searchable, diffable, editable anywhere. The graphic is rendered live from the text, so there is no “the image is stale but nobody can find the source file” problem.
Nodes support inline code, bold, links and other markdown — handy for dropping commands straight into a troubleshooting map.
